SEO FAQ: Content Management Systems

If you have access to a content management system, or website CMS, you may not ever have to directly edit or even look at the HTML code of your website. A content management system is a website editor that allows you to add and edit website content yourself without ever having to pay someone else to make changes or buy special software. Most content management systems are built-in and online. In essence, you can edit your website from within your internet browser.

With a good CMS, you may never have to directly edit the HTML of your website in order to optimize your Page Title or Meta Tags. Click on the following link to view a good example of what a CMS can offer: Arora CMS

I have downloaded your SEO guide and the information is great. I have been trying to implement some of your SEO practices. I can change the content with the website I have, however I have no access to the Page Titles and Meta information. Then I came across this section of your guide... the Content Management System that Arora Designs is using seems very easy to use. Can a person change their website to another company with an easier Content Management System? Can I use the same URL if I change to another company using an easier to use Content Management System?

Hi Mark, thanks for checking out the site and my eBook.

Unfortunately some older content management systems do not have the ability to edit some of the aspects of SEO. To answer your question though, yes, you will definitely be able to move your website to another system with ease. Any web design company worthy of your attention will be able to help you transfer the domain to their system (if needed) and set up your website on a newer content management system.

As you mentioned, Arora Designs does offer a great CMS. You can check it out at www.aroradesigns.com

Thanks!
