Link Building Test: Aftermath

So far, the aftermath of the link building test has been positive. As far as I can tell, the inbound links that were created seem to be relatively permanent. When I stopped the link building campaign, we had a total of 566 inbound links. A week later, we stand right at 568. Also, we're still at position #5 on the first page of Google search results for our chosen key phrase.

For those of you that are curious, we're still at #1 in both Bing and Yahoo searches, as we have been for some time. Bing and Yahoo seem to be a bit easier to place in for some reason. Also, there seems to be more relevant results in those search engines lately than in Google. But, that's a whole other discussion.

I don't know how long these results will last without an active link campaign, but I'm eager to find out. This way I'll be able to advise clients and update my book on the long-term effectiveness of link building. As always, thanks for taking the time to read this blog.
